Privacy notice

Applies to buildrealbusiness.co.uk · Last updated 25 October 2026 (analytics added)

This site has one job: to let you ask for access to BuildRealBusiness_ (“BRB_”). This notice explains what happens to what you send.

Who is responsible

BuildRealBusiness_ is responsible for your information. You can reach us at hello@buildrealbusiness.co.uk.

What we collect

Email addressRequired, so we can reply.
Name, company or project, a one-line reasonOptional. Only if you choose to type them.
Where you came fromThe referring website’s hostname and any utm_* / ref campaign tag from the link you used, saved with your request.
Your choicesThe time of your request, and whether you ticked the box about hearing if access opens more widely.
A short-lived anti-abuse codeTo stop automated flooding, your network address is turned into a salted one-way code that is kept for up to 24 hours. Your address itself is not stored with your request.

We do not ask for anything sensitive. Please do not send any.

Why, and our basis for it

We do not send newsletters or marketing to anyone who has not asked for it. We do not sell, rent or share your details.

Who handles it for us

Cloudflare hosts this site and stores requests in its database service on our behalf. If we write back, the message passes through our email provider, Zoho. Both act under our instructions. Some of their processing may take place outside the UK, under recognised safeguards.

If a security check is shown on the form, it is provided by Cloudflare (Turnstile) and sees the technical details of your browser to tell people from bots.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and has no advertising or cross-site trackers. To learn how many people visit, where they came from and whether the form is used, our server passes a few facts to GoatCounter, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics service:

Your IP address, your email and anything you type into the form are never sent to GoatCounter; your browser talks only to this site. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control, nothing is passed on. The same safe campaign tags and the referring hostname are saved with your request so we can tell which link brought it in. We also keep anonymous daily totals of these events in our own database.

How long we keep it

We keep a request while it is being reviewed and for up to 12 months after your last contact with us, then delete it. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, and withdraw consent. Email hello@buildrealbusiness.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
